Goal: To define compulsive gambling behaviors, assessment tools, family of origin issues & treatment strategies.

- The student will be able to describe the difference between compulsive gambling and problem gambling behaviors.
- The course student will be able to discuss the South Oaks Gambling Screen.
- To examine the influence of family traits and behaviors and to create an effective treatment and after care plan.
- They will be able to distinguish between cognitive therapies and a 12-step approach to treatment.
