Hepatitis C, STDS, AIDS
CEU’s: 6 Hours
Goal: To educate participants about the physical and psychological problems occurring among patients suffering from AIDS, HIV, TB, Hepatitis B & C.
Objective:
- The student will be able to identify physical and psychological symptoms of individuals who suffer from HIV, AIDS, TB, including multi-drug resistant TB, syphilis, and hepatitis B & C.
- The students will have the opportunity to be more sensitive to patients. Those entering treatment programs who are at risk of having one or more of these diseases.
- The focus is on these particular infectious diseased because they occur frequently among treatment populations. Also they have significant medical and socioeconomic consequences for infected persons.
